I'm not certain, but I think that means that these shutters cannot be installed through the "proper channels." When I had impact windows installed on my home in 2008, I took my old shutter panels to a scrap yard that pays for the metal; you will probably get close to what you are asking, and the scrap yard is very close (on Powerline Rd., just S of Hillsboro, on the E side). Your services and contribution does not go unnoticed. It is truly appreciated. At times, when I have something to sell, especially if it is an item that fits the Waterford home (i.e., screens, windows, shutters, etc,), as well as other items, it would be nice to have a link to connect to Waterford homeowners first.just brainstorming here, but perhaps a link on the HOA website could be made for just such listings?? Monitoring it becomes another issue..it was just a thought. The way I see it , it is better served to help someone in the community then to sell it for scrap. I really don't need to money that bad. Heck, I would have even give it away if the person asked for it. Actually what I had in mind (but did not convey it as I wanted to be a surprise), was to donate the proceeds to the association. I have someone from work that offered me $400 for it, but like I said, I wanted to offer it to someone in Waterford homes that could really use it. I guess I will retract the offer since it seems to be causing some concern. Your point is well taken and will work on a solution for offering a "for sale section" for Waterford homes. Thanks for your input and suggestions. They are very helpful and have tremendous resources THANKS, Joan Maurice From: Todd Drosky [mailto:seminolesfan at bellsouth.net] Sent: Tuesday, April 20, 2010 5:34 PM To: Todd Drosky Subject: WDCA -- April 28, 2010 Meeting Next Wednesday, April 28 at 7:00 p.m. at the BSO Substation (580 South Powerline Road) is the next WDCA meeting. Our feature speaker will be Mr. Jose Lopez from the Lighthouse of Broward (LHOB). The LHOB is an educational facility assisting the visually impaired. While the LHOB serves all of Broward County, only 5% of their free assistance goes to residents of Deerfield Beach. This is an excellent opportunity to educate ourselves and our residents about visual impairment, especially for an organization that serves our community. Fear not, there will be no solicitation. As always, please feel free to invite any guests you think might be interested in learning more. The agenda for this meeting as well as the proposed minutes from the March meeting will be e-mailed this Thursday. If you need either sooner, please e-mail me.
