The donations have started to arrive. We thank you for your generosity. At
this time, we have received four. The money we receive will help us with
postage for mailings. Also, we must keep our registration with the State of
Florida current or we will fall into receivership with the State, as these
fees are required by law.

At the present time, our funds are essentially depleted and we need to
replenish the funds to ensure that we can keep our neighborhood the way it
is and represented, both locally and statewide.

Your board members were responsible for the traffic light on 28th St. and
the cut in off 10th onto 24th, as well as the sidewalk repairs that took
place throughout the community. We have worked with Code Enforcement to
assist residents with problems they have had due to foreclosures. We have
assisted residents on 28th with the noise and problems created by Clamster's
(motor cycles, loud music, blocking off entrances and parking in no parking
areas.) A few months back there were dead animals (we believe goats) on
city property facing 10th St. off 24th. We worked with city officials until
they were removed. We have worked with our police chief to bring BSO into
our neighborhood in an attempt to slow down speeders, and have more presence
to prevent crime. At the present time, a small group of homeowners are
working together to install a camera system that will help BSO in
identifying criminal activity that may take place in our neighborhood.

Many of your board members are active on city boards and important programs
such as COPS and CERT, as well as Committees, such as the Cultural Committee
(that work all through the year to raise money for scholarships) and the
newly created ad hoc Ethics Committee. Your homeowners association is
represented at the West Deerfield Community Alliance by three members, one
of which is the Secretary.

As a volunteer group, we try to keep residents who are on our email list as
informed as possible about problems that effect or will

effect our community and our property values. We are vigilant with the DOT
in their desire to widen 10th Street, or worse

construct a fly over. Our District 4 Commissioner (Ganz) represents us on
the county MPO and knows that we are adamantly opposed to any widening or
flyover effort on SW 10th Street.

All of these activities keep Waterford Homes actively involved and
represented throughout our community.

If you can send your donation, please do it now ! Please help us by getting
more of your neighbors to get on the email list and send in their donations
also.

Every donation, small or large, is welcomed and will help keep our community
in tact!

With much appreciation,

Joan Maurice

President-WHOA
