E-Project Update - West Wellfield Project - 12/7/2009  

*	The West Wellfield Project contractor, Downrite Engineering Corp,
completed the water main installation across SW 10th Street just west of
Military Trail and has completed installation to the corner. 
*	Work is expected to reach the east gate of Century Village by Dec. 7
or 8.  The gate will always have one lane open for traffic flow during the
installation.  
*	Pressure testing on the 16" and 24" mains on Military Trail from
Goolsby to the water plant was successfully completed. 
*	The 12" pilot hole is down to 960 feet. Drilling for the next piece
of casing will go down to 800 feet and stop until additional casing arrives.
Due to the ground conditions, an extra 47 feet of casing will be needed, and
will arrive in early January. 
*	In an effort to make up for previous delays, the contractor is
planning to continue to work Saturdays. 
*	Also in mid-January, work will begin on the Biscayne well, next to
the Floridan well.
*	Crews have completed all three HDPE pipe sections under the canal,
and both water lines are also now in place.  Individual conduits for the
electrical and control wires will now be placed inside the 16-inch conduit. 
*	Excess material for a berm adjacent to the park is being
stock-piled, and staff is preparing a landscape plan.
